It also includes a tab manager to better handle tab browsing.  If you are a Firefox user, you’ll certainly want to upgrade.  You can download it here.

The news is full of stories about Facebook’s issues with securing user data as well as various privacy issues.  While these news sources are quick to point out the problems, they don’t provide the information users need to best protect themselves.  The writers over at Kaspersky Labs have created a walk through on Securing your Facebook.   Some highlights include:

  • Being judicious about the type of information you enter into your profile;
  • How to only share restrict what people can see on your Facebook;
  • How to keep your photos private; and
  • How to spot Facebook scams.

Some of the information may be redundant but it is good to revisit your privacy settings from time to time.
